Kansas City has one of the largest St. Patrick's Day Parades in the United States. The one downtown is third in size, with New York & Chicago coming in first & second, respectively.
Personally, I prefer the one in Brookside because it is smaller and has more of a neighborhood feel. You can bring the kids and dogs along without worrying about them getting trampled.

The New Downtown
I like it! Actually, i really do enjoy the new downtown Kansas City. It's becoming so vibrant and...even cosmopolitan. The energy is great. I love the music floating out into the street and the throngs of happy people. First Fridays are amazing.
